To date the team has delivered and implemented projects in Somalia which has added value to our clients’ needs and aspirations. Our cumulative first-hand experience in working Somalia is coupled with our vast amount of network with local contacts and dynamics.

We assist our clients in the region and international community to transform and build a better Somalia with stability, prosperity, and acceptability.

Resource Based Conflict

The inherent tension which has occasioned perennial conflict among communities in the Horn of Africa is dramatically taking a new twist given the emergence of new factors of conflicts. Whereas the notable indicators such as water and grazing fields still dominate the headlines, the heightened prospecting and possible discovery of oil in the Horn is set to change the tide of the conflict and could further destabilize the region.

The same however presents opportunities for exponential growth. At Trans-Link Advisory, we endeavor to support communities and government map out potential conflict and advice on practical solutions.

This includes and not limited to policy formulation, setting up legal frameworks for resource sharing, and capacity development of local communities to participate in the process right from the start.

Security and Stabilization

Trans-Link Advisory appreciates the need for a stable Somalia and the larger Horn of Africa noting the long history of instability in this region. The ever changing dynamics of security which especially in Somalia is moving from the battle field to street crime fuelled by trade of small arms present a challenge for government and society at large to realize the dividends of a hard won peace.

Political competition and secessionism equally present cracks of instability. Trans-Link Advisory has built its reputation in dissecting these issues and providing practical and effective methods to the various stakeholders involved in finding lasting peace and stability in the region.

Strategic Communications

The critical role of the media and all players in the information super- highway in transition processes cannot be gainsaid. In the intervening periods of conflict in Somalia, public communication was largely manipulated to foster conflict and tension among worrying factions hence a loss of public trust and furtherance of suspicion. There is therefore a clarion call for confidence building through effective communication structures.

Trans-Link Advisory has a team of media experts who have gained repute in reporting and analyzing the salient issues in the Horn of Africa and the global interplay thereof, tasked with developing communication channels and models to bridge the information flow gap in Somalia and in the greater Horn of Africa.

We conduct regular media research, monitoring and liaisons, public media, literacy training and helping government, donor community, development and humanitarian agencies and embrace a more open and robust communication and media strategy.
